PROJECT SCIENTIST/FIELD TECHNICIAN
True North is seeking a detail oriented, organized, personable, and dependable candidate to fill a Project Scientist position to support company expansion, under the direct supervision of the Project Manager or Industrial Hygienist. The full-time position will support all company operations with the following:
· Support to project managers and engineers for environmental assessments (Phase I and Phase II), remediation projects (UST and soil removal) and field sampling programs
· Conduct field assignments, such as performing industrial hygiene monitoring, noise assessment, asbestos inspections and abatement monitoring, lead and mold inspections, remediation monitoring and indoor air quality assessments
· Preparation of project deliverables, including documentation of field investigative procedures and data management
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: BA/BS in Science Related Discipline
- Years of Experience: 0-4 Years
- Location: This position requires travel and field work throughout the Chicagoland area and travel out-of-state
- 2nd/3rd shift or weekend work may be required from time to time
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Professional Licenses/Certifications Preferred: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER, Asbestos Professional Licensing, Lead Risk Assessor would also be beneficial
- This position requires a valid driver’s license.
- Medical approval by the Company’s appointed physician, after employment is accepted, prior to the first day of work.
