Civil Design Engineer



Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is currently seeking several entry level Civil Design Engineers to work in our Warrenville office. We have open positions in several departments including transportation, structural, and site development. The primary role of this position is to be responsible for preparation of civil engineering design drawings, specifications, estimates, and supplemental reports. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a BS in Civil Engineering and working towards their professional engineering license in addition to the qualifications listed below.



  • 1-5 years of experience
  • Municipal engineering experience for transportation, infrastructure, and/or structural projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and technical writing
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Project coordinator for client contact, scheduling tasks and interaction with reviewing agencies and other stakeholders. Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects at a time
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation
  • Proficiency in technical and business writing
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, dependable, personable, and able to multi-task and work effectively as a team player
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience
