RMSSN Academy and Internship Opportunity



RMSSN/3dNaturalist is a short ten-day academy sponsored through a grant from the National Science Foundation to: Colorado State University, Moravian College, Central Michigan University, Ecological Society of America, University of Arizona, ESRI, and Bijagual Ecological Reserve. The Academy takes place at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks with additional sections at the Colorado State University Mountain Campus next to Rocky Mountain National Park.
RMSSN/3dNaturalist academy takes place May 16 - May 30 2018 starting from Denver International Airport and traveling by van to Jackson Wyoming with a stop over at Colorado State University's Mountain Campus. The grant covers all travel costs for participants including meals and housing. RMSSN is an adventure with team building, leadership training, discovery of natural and cultural resources, science communication and community engagement. Teams are housed in tents, dormitories or cabins at the different locations with some camping options that are weather dependent. Student participants are expected to at the academy from May 16 (travel day) to May 30.  All flights and travel arrangements must be made by Colorado State University to the Denver Airport. Please note that if you are selected as a student participant, the project will pay up to $500 for airfare.  Costs beyond that for airfare may not be covered. Also for the internship the pollinator hotshots it is a paid position that continues after the RMSSN academy.
