Job Opening Number: 365030The Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant
professor level in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (STEP).
The faculty member will join a vibrant community of interdisciplinary
scholars at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, support graduate
students as part of the M.S. in Science, Technology, and Environmental
Policy professional degree program and the Ph.D. in Public Affairs program,
and maintain a research affiliation with the Center for Science,
Technology, and Environmental Policy. Successful candidates must
demonstrate the potential to develop an innovative and socially impactful
research portfolio that addresses contemporary questions related to energy
or environmental policy. Applicants may have disciplinary backgrounds in
public policy, public affairs, environmental studies, environmental
economics, human dimensions, or related fields. We seek candidates working
in the areas of U.S. and global environmental policy; food, energy and/or
water policy; environmental governance; climate change mitigation and
adaptation policy; environmental justice; or related areas. We welcome
applications from scholars employing a broad range of methodological
approaches with a preference for applicants who have a demonstrated
commitment to engaged and interdisciplinary scholarship. Candidates should
be able to teach graduate-level courses in policy analysis, environmental
decision-making or environmental economics, one methodological course, and
a seminar course in their area of expertise.
