The Mexican Heritage Global Engagement Trip is a 10-day experiential learning program for US university students with Mexican heritage to be immersed in authentic opportunities to explore their cultural backgrounds. Through this program, students will gain new perspectives of Mexico as well as their own intersecting intercultural identities. Students will visit our local HC partners for meaningful exchanges focused on authentic representations of Mexican tradition and innovation from across the country including from the states of Chiapas, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, and Oaxaca. This program will also explore themes of empathy and social responsibility in personal and professional contexts. Students will have the opportunity to consider how they will continue to deepen their connection to Mexico long after the trip has ended.
