Funded Graduate Research Assistantships

 Hello everyone,

Please see below for two funded research opportunities with the College of Charleston, South Carolina. Both of these projects have the ability to develop into Master's thesis projects, if desired, and focus on Septic Systems under climate change. Please review the positions below and reach out to the directed researchers for more information.

 Two Sea Grant-funded Graduate Research Assistantships

    • One Research Assistant will aid project leaders and collaborators in conducting a research project assessing water quality conditions in shallow groundwater at multiple sites in the coastal region of South Carolina with a focus on the Mount Pleasant are (SC)
    • This student should have some experience in environmental science, including water quality and groundwater concepts.

    • The second Research Assistant will lead stakeholder engagement efforts, coordinate and facilitate surveys and focus groups, analyze results using appropriate social science methodology, and generate recommendations to be shared with local governments, water utility operators, and natural resource and outreach professionals.
