Climate Advocacy Methods Training

January - April 2021

This 15-week Climate Advocacy Methods Program is for anyone interested in learning and applying CCL’s methods for climate action. Participants learn how to lobby members of Congress, write op-eds and letters-to-the-editor, obtain endorsements, do grassroots outreach, and more. Anyone is welcome to join regardless of age or student status. No application or prerequisites are necessary and there is no cost. The program takes about two hours a week and academic credit is possible through arrangement with the student's academic institution. Deadline to sign up for Spring 2021 is December 31: citizensclimatehighered.org/training

Building Political Will for Climate Solutions Workshop

3-4:30pm ET November 7

Learn how to build political will for climate solutions using CCL's five levers: lobbying congress, grasstops engagement, media relations, grassroots outreach, and group development. Led by CCL’s regional fellows, this workshop will help you plug your time and talents to create the change we want to see. Please RSVP to obtain the Zoom meeting information in your confirmation email.

Citizens’ Climate Virtual Conference

December 5-6

Once the election is over, we’ll focus on strategies to sway the incoming Congress toward climate action. CCL’s Dec. 5 virtual conference, United We Move, will highlight our outreach strategies and successes, with sessions about talking to conservatives, engaging youth, welcoming BIPOC, and more. More than 1,200 have signed up for the free conference. Register now.

The conference will be followed by a week of lobby meetings with every member of Congress. If you’re new to CCL and interested in joining a lobby meeting to speak to your Senators or Representatives about your support for carbon dividends, please fill out this form.
