Event to discuss the 50-year history of the EPA and its future

David Konisky would like to invite you to attend an event that they are hosting at Indiana University to discuss the 50-year history of the Environmental Protection Agency, and its immediate future in the wake of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. 

 

Headlining the event will be Gina McCarthy, president and CEO of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the 13th Administrator of the EPA. 

 

Other scheduled participants include:

 

• A. James Barnes, who participated in the formation of the EPA, serving as chief of staff to the first administrator, William Ruckelshaus, and later as EPA general counsel and deputy administrator.

• Jody Freeman, Harvard Law professor and Counselor for Energy and Climate Change at the White House from 2009-10.

• Janet McCabe, acting assistant administrator for the EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 2013-17
