University of South Dakota M.S. and Ph.D in Sustainability

The University of South Dakota is launching a graduate program in sustainability in Fall 2018.  We are looking for the first cohort of students to begin in August 2018.  We will offer M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, with thesis and non-thesis options for the M.S. degree.  More information about the graduate program in sustainability is available athttp://www.usd.edu/arts-and-sciences/sustainability/graduate.

 

We will have at least two new graduate teaching assistant positions available for Fall 2018.  The research focus of these positions will be on sustainability and food systems, multifunctional rural landscapes, or sustainability education.  Students from a range of academic background are encouraged to apply although students with some background in geology are preferred due to the available teaching assistant positions.

Hawai'i: Sustainable Community Food and Energy Systems 1-3 credits

Peru: Water Resource Management & Sustainable Practices 2 credits

Trip Leader with NIU Outdoor Adventures

NIU Outdoor Adventures is look for part-time summer help! If you are going to be in the DeKalb area and want to get involved in assisting the program operations complete an application.  The number of hours per week is variable and dependent on your schedule up to 20 hours/week. The ideal candidate is a sophomore or younger and interested in outdoor recreation.  Types of work include assisting adventure trips (future trip leader training starting in the fall), attending rentals, and facilitating teambuilding and sport activities for youth.  Reach out to outdooradventure@niu.edu with any questions.
