The School of Earth and Sustainability at Northern Arizona University is recruiting a Master’s student in Environmental Sciences & Policy to assist with non-market valuation of springs ecosystem services for sustainable forested rangeland management in the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests. The Graduate Assistantship provides an excellent opportunity for applied research and engagement with an extensive group of stakeholders, including the Springs Stewardship Institute.
Funding includes two years of tuition, health insurance, and a stipend, starting in August 2021. Exceptional communication skills and enthusiasm for inter-disciplinary research required. Training in environmental economics including survey data collection and analysis, and/or work experience in conservation or land management in the American West preferred.
