Hello,
I am the Intern Coordinator in Congressman Sean Casten’s District Office in Glen Ellyn (IL06). I am looking to raise awareness about our paid Summer 2024 internship opportunities here in our district and DC Office. The program will start Mid-May and run through early-August.
District office interns are provided the opportunity to assist the office in helping constituents navigate federal agencies ranging from topics like immigration, Medicare, and veterans’ affairs. District office interns are able to attend virtual webinars held by different government agencies and work with staff on various district-based projects and events. They are also asked to assist with office work including working on projects, doing research, answering phones, and drafting letters.
I would appreciate assistance in informing your students about this great opportunity to learn more about the functions and duties of a Congressional District Office. Below is the link to the application page:

The application deadline is April 26th, 2024. We will work with school schedules and allow interns to only work certain days of the week at certain times, though the applicant must be available at some point between 9 am – 5 pm. There is a preference for students with in-district ties.
