Steffanie Munguía is the Student Engagement Manager for Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL), a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy climate change organization focused on national policies to address climate change.
Their Higher Education team strives to engage more college students in this work through a variety of different programs, for which we are currently recruiting. These include:
- Paid Fellowships Programs - We are currently seeking students with some campus organizing experience who are based in Alaska, West Virginia, or Arizona to assist with mobilizing college students in their states to act on climate. Deadline to apply is November 30th, 2021.
- Paid and Unpaid Internship Programs - Interns work directly with CCL staff on a variety of different topics, including outreach and engagement, communications and marketing, and policy and advocacy. Deadline to apply is November 30th, 2021.
These programs are highly competitive, and their students often go on to top grad schools and careers. The current application cycle is recruiting for both spring and summer of 2022, and students may choose either semester depending on what is more convenient for their academic or career goals.
