POSITION TITLE:
Advancement Team Student Intern
DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our undergraduate or graduate intern will serve as a part-time member of The
Conservation Foundation staff as part of the organization’s Advancement
Team. Work will be largely project-based
and focused on marketing, public relations (including social media) and
membership acquisition.
These projects also center on key
mission areas of the foundation: land preservation, river and stream
protection, environmental education, and environmental stewardship.
We will match the skills and
interest of the candidate with the current needs of The Conservation
Foundation. Past examples of internship
projects have included, but not been limited to:

Creating social media content
(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
·
Conducting and compiling results for
a membership survey
·
Assisting with organizational events
(invitations, publicity, event logistics)
·
Updating website content
·
Working with Communications Manager
on marketing-related tasks
HOURS:
Flexible, with an average of 16-18 hours per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent writing and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and desktop
publishing software are highly valued. Candidates should have an
undergraduate degree in a related field (marketing, communications, business)
or be pursuing a master’s degree in a related field.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation for this internship is done at a rate of $15 per hour, with the
expectation that the intern will work on average 16-18 hours per week for up to
48 weeks.
