This is a nine-week intensive program that provides students with training in
qualitative and quantitative methods needed to conduct community based research
in areas undergoing rapid changes associated with globalization. The program
provides cross-training in anthropology and environmental engineering and guides
students as they address issues of small scale sustainable agriculture and food
insecurity, grey water management, and waste management. The course is ideal for
graduate students from anthropology, public health, and environmental sciences,
