RCC Fellowship- Paid Opportunity for Student Environmental Organizers

he Rachel Carson Council Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for the academic year 2022 - 2023. The application deadline is April 1st.

The RCC Fellowship Program will select 25 environmental leaders from colleges and universities across the nation. To apply to the program, students propose their own projects that are focused on sustainability and environmental justice to be carried out on their campuses and in their communities. Former fellows have run projects ranging from divestment campaigns to podcasts on environmental justice issues and campaigns for renewable energy infrastructure on their campuses. Benefits and Requirements for the program: 

  • All RCC Fellows receive a $2,000 stipend distributed throughout the academic year.
  • Opportunity to attend the RCC American Environmental Leadership Institute for 5 days from July 24-28, 2022.
  • Fellows receive mentorship and training from RCC Staff over the course of their Fellowship term, including the development of a work plan for their projects over the course of their term. 
  • Publish about projects through RCC networks
  • All undergraduate and graduate students attending US-based colleges and universities are eligible to apply.
