6th international symposium for sustainable development

Dr. Shibita would like to encourage students at ENVS to submit abstracts, narratives, or creative contents to the 6thInternational Symposium for Sustainable Development.

Students can also give a presentation about their group activities, as it will be good experience to give a talk at a conference and would boost their resumes.

More information about the event can be found here: SDGs Symposium (gehlab.org)

Here is a brief overview of what this is about:

Since the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGsare for all people in the world, this SDGs symposium is for all people in all fields of work and study.  The future is ours!
This symposium will:

  • Provide a virtual platform for  stakeholders (e.g. governments, NGOs, industries, communities, professionals, citizen scientists, advocates, average Joe, and academia) from around the world to share knowledge and practice
  • Showcase how passionate individuals, groups, and organizations at all levels can contribute to the SDGs through their work.
  • Have three sections (live presentations, library of recorded presentations, and gallery of creative content) to support diverse forms of engagement
  • Support our colleagues in Myanmar, where the education system has been tested by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as serious domestic challenges
  • Celebrate International Youth Day with global citizens around the world
