Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of the Department of Environment and Sustainability, manages environment and sustainability initiatives in the development,coordination, and implementation of various strategic plans and special projects. Coordinates all aspects of environment and sustainability programs, projects, and special initiatives from initiation through completion. Manages new initiatives and resource/tool development including grant writing. Promotes local, regional and strategic sustainability through the development, management and use of the Green Leadership Team and other local, regional and strategic initiatives. Coordinates oversight and technical assistance to sub-recipients or assisted business, local governments and residents. Participates in data collection and data submittal via the Set Targets Achieve Results (STAR) performance measurement initiative. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree is required(Must provide original college/university transcript at time of interview).*
- Six (6) years of full-time professional work experience in environment or sustainability is required.
- Valid driver's license is required (Must provide proof at time of interview).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, Environmental Sciences, Architecture, Engineering or Finance is preferred
