Job Title:Environmental Engineer / Physical Scientist (Env) (RECENT GRADUATES)
This position is located in Region 5, Chicago, Illinois. This announcement may be used to fill multiple vacancies within Region 5.
At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Assist in environmental protection projects and activities related to air, water, permitting, enforcement and compliance, environmental data.
- Perform limited or routine aspects of professional environmental protection work related to air, water, permitting, enforcement and compliance, or environmental data.

Recent Graduates who have completed all course requirements for a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution or technical education program within the preceding two years. Preference eligible veterans unable to apply within two years of receiving their degree due to military service obligation may apply up to six years after degree or certification.

1. Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
OR
2. Combination of education and experience--education equivalent to one of the majors shown above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education
