Seminar of interest to students studying biodiversity and environmental restoration
November 1st at 3:30pm in Montgomery 443

Dave Ewert, Director of Conservation Science in The Great Lakes at The Nature Conservancy.  Dave works on climate change and conservation issues in the Great Lakes Region, generally and has also done research on the ecology of migrating and overwintering neotrpical migratory landbirds.  His seminar will be titled "The Nature Conservancy:  Great Lakes Regional Science".

The Journal of Student Research is calling for submissions for its next issue scheduled to be published end of this year. This is a multidisciplinary journal affiliated with the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). 

Student researchers at NIU who are aspiring to publish can submit the following:
  • Manuscript that is student's original research.
  • Original review or analysis on a topic of student's choice.
  • Other types of submissions.

Please review the Author Guidelines (http://www.jofsr.com/index.php/path/pages/view/authors) which will answer most of your questions about the submission process.
To submit the manuscript student's will first have to Register (http://www.jofsr.com/index.php/path/user/register) with the journal as an Author.
Deadline to submit: 11:59 p.m. (CST) October 31, 2012
