DeKalb County Community Gardens
Provides access to local, sustainably-grown organic vegetables for people in need, and offers unique agriculturally centered training and educational opportunity for the homeless and individuals with special needs.

TAILS Humane Society
Finds homes for more than 2,000 animals a year, serves at-risk youth in the community, provides food for pets of Meals on Wheels clients and provides temporary shelter for pets of individuals experiencing domestic violence or homelessness.
Mutual Ground
Provides free education, awareness and life-changing services that empower individuals, families and the community to end the cycles of domestic sexual abuse.
Hope Haven
Serves 90 individuals per night, many of whom are chronically homeless or disabled through temporary, transitional and permanent housing.
Voluntary Action Center
Provides 260,000 rides and 170,000 meals to youth, families and seniors in need.
Open Door
Serves 130 adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities by providing housing, workforce training and education, medical care and social and outreach activities.
Pioneer Center for Human Services
Provides direct care and services to more than 2,400 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those experiencing homelessness.
Egyptian Theatre
Hosts events for more than 25 non-profits, and attracts more than 30,000 people to events throughout the year.
Adult & Child Rehabilitation Center for McHenry County
Provides physical, speech and occupational therapy to nearly 300 individuals, many of whom are economically disadvantaged.
Youth Service Bureau of DeKalb County
Provides preventative and early intervention services for youth and families, regardless of ability to pay, including counseling, anger management and conflict resolution.
