This November, the National
Great Rivers Research and Education Center (NGRREC) and its partners invite
educators, both formal and non-formal, and various watershed resource
professionals to join in the Mississippi River Watershed Education Symposium.
Please help spread your success stories and new watershed initiatives (education
and research) by attending our conference, November 14th & 15th in East
Alton, IL.
The event will highlight two
keynote presentations, one by Sean O’Connor of National Geographic’s education
team and another by Chad Pregracke of Living Lands & Waters. Pregracke is
the 2013 recipient of CNN’s Hero of the Year Award. Through these keynote talks
and presentations/workshops from speakers throughout the Mississippi River
Watershed and beyond, we hope to encourage and develop networking opportunities
for partnering on unique, science-based watershed education
programs.
Registration is only $55 and
includes both keynote presentations, concurrent sessions and lunch on Friday and
Saturday, and dinner Friday night! You can’t beat that for a two-day conference.
Registration is simple and can be done online. Check out our conference website to
